Posted @withregram • @warpedandcreased Blood Oath - Lost In An Eternal Silence: admittedly, this was a blind buy from @ixiolprod , but I have had luck in that regard before with the label, so I figured I wouldn’t be steered in the wrong direction. Fortunately for me, I was not. Blood Oath are a Chilean death metal band that does a good job mixing styles, genres and moods in their music. Originally released in 2023, I’m surprised this never hit my radar back then. You can hear the South American scrappiness in their delivery no doubt; a good blend of Sepultura’s original menace and a punk approach. This is no dumb dumb metal either. The tracks, while they may lack in polish or presentation, they certainly are ambitious, even proggy in some sections. I really love the guitars on the album. Lots of cool later era Death vibes, and an almost “Castlevania” tone to them (if that makes sense?). Definitely a cool release, and I’m really happy I grabbed it while I could! Huge thanks to @eyeandearcontrolrecords for securing me a copy of this slight oddball of a death metal record! - ™️
