Malefaction’s first album in 22 years, Rebirth, is 19 tracks of grinding hardcore and extreme metal. Scathing blowtorch vocals highlight socio-political anthems of awareness and disgust.
Out Of Enslavement Records brings you the complete album in physical form. The limited edition 19-song / 25+ minute cassette includes exclusive covers of songs by band favourites Disrupt, Slayer, and Napalm Death. They will not be available through streaming services.

Rebirth is an unreleased album that was recorded after 1998’s Man Grows Cold.
Some tracks ended up on 7-inch records through indie labels in Canada and Japan, while a few tracks appeared on various compilation albums. A handful were later re-recorded for the 2001 album, Crush The Dream, released by G7 Welcoming Committee Records. Many tracks on Rebirth remained unreleased until now.
Rebirth was mastered in 2025 by Matthew Friesen with cover art by Cavan H. – ROTTING REIGN and cassette layout by Eye And Ear Control.
Rebirth signals the awakening of a recently slumbering beast.
